Silos & high-rise racking

Installation of rack-supported silos up to 50 metres in height. We work where others stop. We specialize in high-rise racking structures where the racking itself forms the load-bearing structure of the entire building.

Key advantages

What is a rack-supported silo

A silo is not just a tall rack — it is the entire building. A rack-supported silo is a storage system in which the racking structure itself forms the load-bearing structure of the whole building. Walls and roof are not attached to a separate steel frame; they are bolted directly onto the racking frames. One system serves both as warehouse and as building.

Heights commonly reach 20 to 45 metres, with our completed projects reaching up to 50 metres.

Why is the racking built before the warehouse?

At first glance it may seem illogical. A steel structure stands under the open sky and the warehouse is missing. But that is exactly how it should be.

In a rack-supported silo, the racking columns and frames serve as the primary load-bearing structure. Roof and wall panels are bolted onto the finished racking framework, which gives them shape, rigidity and structural integrity. If the warehouse were built first, it would need its own additional load-bearing structure. That would unnecessarily increase project cost and extend construction time.

Rack as a building: shorter construction, lower costs, maximum use of height.

Safety at heights, no compromises

Working on a silo project means moving at heights of 40 to 50 metres. This is not standard rack installation. Before being deployed on these projects, our workers complete GOF Training — Work on Masts and Structures. The program includes practical training in moving at heights, safety techniques, handling emergency situations and working with safety equipment directly under the conditions awaiting them on site.

On every project, without exception:

The right equipment does more than save lives. Without it, working on such a project is not legally permitted.
